Coach Cooper Sports

A youth sports program offering camps, group classes, private lessons and team coaching for ages 3 and up. Specializing in baseball, basketball, football and soccer, Coach Cooper Sports teaches the fundamentals of team sports while developing coordination, motor skills, sports technique, confidence, teamwork and sportsmanship all while having fun.

Our daughter Nada started with Coach Cooper when she was 2 years and is now 6 years old and has a passion for sports with a healthy competitive outlook. Coach Cooper works with children to develop their drive, sports ability with a focus on coordination, technique and strategy. Every child responds to him in a positive way and he coaches around making our daughter the best athlete she can be stretching her both mentally and physically. Every week Nada asks when is Coach Cooper and is excited to go to his class.

Our family has used Coach Cooper since our now eight-year old started preschool. The thing that makes him special is he understands kids. For the little ones, he gets them moving while keeping it light and fun. Coach Cooper knows how to rope in even the most reluctant kids with a well-timed “we NEED you!” He teaches good sportsmanship from the very beginning, which is what keeps many families coming back year after year. As the kids get older and start working on more specific skills, he has a strong handle on when to provide support and when to push for more. Our kids ALWAYS look forward to their practice day with Coach Cooper. Enough said!

If your kids haven’t played on a Coach Cooper sports team or attended his summer Sports Camp, they’re missing out on a wonderful life experience and memory they’d cherish forever. Coach Cooper offers a uniquely genuine program that blends a wide variety of athletics with social skills and team work. Our boys come home sweaty and happy. Smelling like water balloon fights and summer.

My kids have been so lucky to be playing sports with Coach Cooper for the past 3 years. `Between seasonal sports teams that Cooper has coached and the incredible summer camp he runs, my boys have learned the fundamentals of the game but more importantly, they are taught how to be a good sport. He has shown my kids through example how to win and lose gracefully, and always reminds them that they are there to have fun and make friends. Coach Cooper works with the child where they are and knows how to bring out the best in each child. I really appreciate how he infuses mindfulness into his summer camp by having the kids meditate each day. He does an incredible job training kids to be excellent teammates and makes sure all kids get a chance to shine. I have complete faith in my children’s safety in his care and know he is always working to make sure kids feel included. The best thing as a parent is knowing your child is having fun, learning how to be a good teammate and leader and gaining confidence by being challenged! Our family is forever grateful to Coach Cooper for making such a positive impact on our kids and the kids in our community. I only wish we had found him sooner!

I met Coach Cooper when my son was two and a half years old. One of the moms in his preschool class had arranged a sports class once a week for a group of kids. My son was so shy, so timid, so attached that he was the kid hiding behind my legs whenever we went out. He wouldn’t even join the circle if I didn’t come with him. Coach Cooper was amazing and gradually coaxed him out of his shell. For the next six years, the only coach he would play for was Coach Cooper. Under the tutelage of Coach Cooper, I watched my  child transform into a confident self-assured athlete, who feels comfortable playing any sport or joining any team. My son is currently eleven years old. He is a black belt in Taekwondo and plays on a club basketball team year round. Even though he has outgrown Coach Cooper’s classes, I still credit Coach Cooper for my son’s good sportsmanship, his physical confidence and his love of athletics in general. I highly recommend him for every child but especially if you have a sensitive child who needs a little help coming out of his shell.
